The
new school year has begun! This morning, our Principal and teachers stood at the school
gate with big smiles, warmly welcoming every student back to school and giving out two
special gifts: beautiful bookmarks and spring onion-flavoured biscuits!
The
beautiful bookmarks remind everyone to love reading and develop good habits. The spring
onion-flavoured biscuits play on the similar pronunciation of “spring onion” (蔥) and
“smart” (聰) in Chinese, wishing all our Shek Lei St. John’s students to be clever, bright
and quick-witted! In this new year, we hope everyone will continue to study hard, face
challenges bravely, live simply and act with sincerity, putting our school motto
“Diligence, Courage, Simplicity and Integrity” into practice.
This year’s school
theme is “尋求突破 Seeking Breakthrough”. All teachers and students of Shek Lei St. John’s
Catholic Primary School, let’s go! Let’s be brave to try, keep making progress, and seek
our own breakthroughs! May God bless us all! 🎉📚✨
